NEW BEERS IN LIMBURG! "White Beer and the Seven Hops" & "Sour Allis Smashed the Wonderland"

WHITE BEER AND THE SEVEN HOPS (alc 5.5% vol). SMAAK/AROMA: Dit klassieke witbier met een twist heeft citrusaroma's, een mooie witte schuimkraag en een troebele uitstraling. De eerste slokjes trakteren je op een goede bitterheid met citrussmaken, een evenwichtige hoppigheid, gezien het gebruik van 7 hopsoorten; en een verre milde zoetigheid op de achtergrond. Ook in de afdronk vind je citrus terug, alsook een subtiele hoppigheid. Een perfect bier op een warme lente- of zomerdag. Best geserveerd 6°C.

SOUR ALLIS SMASHED THE WONDERLAND (5.4% alc. vol.). SMAAK/AROMA: Deze lichtblonde Sour SMASH (single malt & single hop) heeft een mooie witte schuimkraag en een troebele uitstraling. Er wordt een lichte bitterheid waargenomen met een bitterzoete citrussmaak en een subtiele citroenschilbitterheid op de achtergrond gecombineerd met een zuurheid afkomstig van de Philly Sour-gist. De afdronk is licht bitter, lichtjes zuur en de citrus is ook nog steeds aanwezig. Best geserveerd 6°C.

WIST-JE-DAT-JEs?:

• WHITE BEER AND THE SEVEN HOPS. Hilaire had een idee om een (wit)bier te brouwen waar vroeger een citroentje in gedaan werd. Dat citroentje heeft hij vervangen door hop te gebruiken met citrus aroma’s. Van dit beer zal je Happy worden, Sleepy en het bier is tevens Dopey. De namen van de 7 hoppen zijn wel anders: Columbus, Cascade, Centennial, Citra, El Dorado, Mosaic en Simcoe. Zoals bij de vorige Pavlovs Brewer bieren is de naam gerelateerd aan een Disney titel, “Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs”. Op het etiket zie je White (wheat) staan met het mooie strikje en de 7 hopjes er rond. En de spiegel? Na elk biertje zie je alles en ieder nog net iets liever.
• SOUR ALLIS SMASHED THE WONDERLAND. Hilaire wilde een Sour Smash brouwen. Een Sour Neipa had hij al eens gebrouwen en hij wilde daarop verder werken in zijn volgende creatie. De naam? Awel, die was snel gevonden met een aantal dubbele boodschappen. SOUR SMASH (Sour en Single Malt & Single Hop) maar ook SOUR ALLIS SMASHed … Allis is nogal pissed (sour) en smashed things. Hilaire heeft hier de Galaxy hop gebruikt om je naar Wonderland te laten reizen. Genoemd naar de Disney titel “Alice in Wonderland” en waar je op het etiket overblijfselen ziet van de tanden van de Cheshire Cat die onze pissed-off Alis geSMASHed heeft met haar hamer.

WHITE BEER AND THE SEVEN HOPS (alc 5.5% vol). TASTE/AROMA: This classic ‘witbier’ with a twist comes with citrus aromas, a nice white head and a cloudy appearance. The first sips treat you to a good bitterness with citrus flavours, a nicely balanced hoppiness, considering the use of 7 hops and a distant mild sweetness in the background. You will find citrus and a subtle hoppiness in the aftertaste too. A perfect beer on a warm spring or summer day. Best served 6°C

SOUR ALLIS SMASHED THE WONDERLAND (5.4% alc. vol.). TASTE/AROMA: This light blonde Sour SMASH (single malt & single hop) has a nice white head and a cloudy look. A light bitterness is perceived with a bittersweet citrus flavour and a subtle lemon peel bitterness in the background combined with a sourness coming from the Philly Sour yeast. The aftertaste is lightly bitter, citrusy and lightly sour.  Best served 6°C.

• WHITE BEER AND THE SEVEN HOPS. Hilaire had an idea to brew a (white) beer in which a lemon used to be added in yesteryears. He replaced that lemon by using hops with citrus aromas. This beer will make you Happy, Sleepy and the beer is also Dopey. The names of the 7 hops are different though: Columbus, Cascade, Centennial, Citra, El Dorado, Mosaic and Simcoe. As with previous Pavlovs Brewer beers, the name is related to a Disney title, “Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs”. On the label you see White (wheat) with the beautiful bow and the 7 hops around it. And the mirror? After every beer you see everything and everyone just a little bit better.
• SOUR ALLIS SMASHED THE WONDERLAND. Hilaire wanted to brew a Sour Smash. He had already brewed a Sour Neipa and wanted to develop that one in his next creation. The name? Well, it was quickly found with a number of duplicate messages. SOUR SMASH (Sour and Single Malt & Single Hop) but also SOUR ALLIS SMASHed… Allis is quite pissed (sour) and smashed things. Hilaire has used the Galaxy hop here to let you travel to Wonderland. Named after the Disney title “Alice in Wonderland” and where on the label you can see remains of the teeth of the Cheshire Cat that our pissed-off Alis SMASHed with her hammer.
