NEW BEER IN LIMBURG! Messner IPA

MESSNER IPA (alc. 6.2% vol); IBU: 41. SMAAK/AROMA: MESSNER IPA is een mooie blonde met een heldere uitstraling en trakteert je op sinaasappel-, pompelmoes- en hoparoma’s. Vanaf het begin benadert een medium bitterheid je smaakpapillen, waarna fruitige (sinaasappel) en florale smaken snel daarna verschijnen. Deze IPA heeft een mooie mix van Summit, Citra, Amarillo & Cascade hopsoorten die je trakteren op een bittere afdronk in combinatie met lichtzoete citrustoetsen. Best geserveerd bij 6-8°C.

WIST-JE-DAT?: MESSNER IPA is vernoemd naar Reinhold Andreas Messner (geboren 17 september 1944), een Italiaanse ontdekkingsreiziger en klimmer uit Zuid-Tirol. Zijn vader leidde Reinhold op vijfjarige leeftijd naar zijn eerste top van 3.000 meter. Op dertienjarige leeftijd begon hij met zijn jongere broer Gunther (die toen elf was) te klimmen. Tegen de tijd dat Reinhold en Günther twintigers werden, behoorden ze tot de beste klimmers van Europa. Reinhold maakte de eerste solo-beklimming van de Mount Everest en de eerste beklimming van de Everest zonder aanvullende zuurstof samen met Peter Habeler. Reinhold was de eerste persoon die alle 14 toppen > 8.000 meter beklom zonder aanvullende zuurstof. Reinhold was ook de eerste die Antarctica, de Gobi-woestijn, de Taklamakan-woestijn en diagonaal door Groenland doorstak zonder uitrusting zoals sneeuwscooters of hondensleeën. Hij wordt beschouwd als de grootste bergbeklimmer aller tijden.

WIST-JE-OOK-DAT?: RIMOR BREWERY is een jonge creatie van Vera Claassens en Emile Janssen. Deze bierfirma met thuisbasis in Maasmechelen laat ons met hun verhaal een beetje (virtueel) reizen in de tijd. RIMOR betekent 'exploreren' in het Latijn. Hun doel is om de bierliefhebber mee te nemen op ontdekkingsreis naar die landen waar bijzondere ingrediënten worden geteeld die ook in hun bieren voorkomen. Met COLOMBO, MERCATOR & BARENTZ hebben zij ons al laten kennismaken met de aroma’s en smaken van Centraal Amerika, China en West Afrika.

MESSNER IPA (alc. 6.2% vol); IBU: 41. TASTE/AROMA: MESSNER IPA is a beautiful blonde with a very clear appearance and treats you to orange, grapefruit and hoppy aroma’s. A medium bitterness approaches your tastebuds from the start with fruity (orange) & floral flavours appearing soon after that. This IPA has a nice blend of Summit, Citra, Amarillo & Cascade hops treating you to a bitter aftertaste and comes with slightly sweet citrus notes. Best served at 6-8°C.

DID-YOU-KNOW?: MESSNER IPA is named after Reinhold Andreas Messner (born 17 Sept 1944), an Italian explorer and climber from South Tyrol. His Father led Reinhold to his first 3,000m peak at the age of five. At the age of thirteen, he began climbing with his younger brother, Gunther (who was eleven then). By the time Reinhold and Günther were in their early twenties, they were among Europe's best climbers. Reinhold made the first solo ascent of the Mount Everest and the first ascent of Everest without supplemental oxygen along Peter Habeler. Reinhold was the first person to climb all 14 peaks  > 8,000m without supplementary oxygen. Reinhold was also the first to cross the Antarctic, the Gobi desert, the Taklamakan desert and crossed Greenland diagonally without equipment such as snowmobiles or dog sleds. He is considered to be the greatest mountaineer of all time.
